The richness of cultural and historical sites that greet visitors at every turn as you wander the cobbled streets of this beautiful city is truly a gift! From the Teatro Municipale to the stunning frescoes adorning the Basilica della Ghiara domes, to the sculptured rose coloured marble lions of Basillica San Prospero (who keep a watchful eye over the Piazza) – you cannot resist wondering in whose ancient footsteps you are following.
CESA’s Re-imagining Childhood Seminars is are often drawn to the topic of allowing time for dialogue, reflection and relationship in order to be authentic in our intentions in facilitating many possibilities for learning through “a hundred languages – and a hundred hundred hundred more’. Wandering through the streets; taking time to sit with a coffee; time to observe the citizens of Reggio Emilia go about their day; time to connect with their faith community – this is an amazing gift Reggio offers freely to her visiting friends and fellow global citizens.
Bravo Reggio Emilia!
Ciao for now!
