A Reflection: Play is children’s work

Lisa Parletta is a Reception teacher at St Mark’s College Port Pirie. Lisa and her colleagues share an interest in play and the learning processes of children. In term two this year, Lisa wrote a ‘play letter’ to the parents in the Reception community at her school.  Since then she has reviewed the letter to include more about the ongoing learning journey for Lisa and her colleagues. Lisa now offers her story to CESA Re-imagining Childhood 0-18 Blog subscribers as a reflection. Play is children’s work

Lisa’s story is Lisa’s reflection, a teacher sharing with other teachers.

We thank Lisa enormously for the courage to write and to share.

After reading Lisa’s story, you too may like to share your thoughts about play and the learning processes of children by posting a comment below.

Wishing you all happy and restful school holidays.
